HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

This animated card for August explores personal identity through the theme of a birthday celebration, serving as an extension of the Lilo Studio brand. The project moves beyond a traditional card, conceptualising the celebration as an intimate event, through a custom-designed ticket.

The core design is built on a tactile paper texture, with the central visual being a stylised self-portrait rendered in a minimalist line-art style. This personal icon serves as a direct representation of the artist's identity. The ticket format is enhanced by a perforated, tear-off "Cake Voucher," while a deliberate misprint effect gives the piece a tangible, analogue feel.

The project explores the multifaceted nature of identity through several conceptual variations. One version sees the ticket "vandalised" with aggressive, spray-painted graffiti and text suggesting a secret, underground event, representing an unfiltered, rebellious alter-ego. Another presents a chaotic collage of "ransom note" typography and stickers that fly across the screen.

These layers are unified in the final animation, executed in Adobe After Effects. The chaotic collage elements are animated to sweep away, revealing the clean, core design underneath. This "reveal" symbolises a moment of clarity and self-acceptance amidst the joyful noise of celebration. All assets were designed in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, creating a cohesive brand statement through a personal lens.
